A few specific fixes for thackraywilliams.com

Thackray Williams Solicitors · Sevenoaks office · website rebuild

I rebuild small and mid-size firm websites in my spare time when I can see the firm is leaving credibility on the table. Three things stood out on the Sevenoaks contact page on a phone over coffee in Sevenoaks. None of them are about colour or layout, all of them are about how Pembroke Road shows up against four other office cards on the same site. Three findings below, then a working rebuild you can click through.

15 Pembroke Road · Sevenoaks · TN13 1XR

Sevenoaks is a 701-review, 4.8-star, three-partner Kent practice. The rebuild leads with that, not with the firm-wide team grid. Open the live preview ↗

Finding 01

The Sevenoaks page does not surface a single one of the firm's strongest credentials above the fold.

What I saw on /contact/sevenoaks

Thackray Williams holds three of the strongest credentials a regional UK firm can hold: 701 ReviewSolicitors entries averaging 4.8 / 5 on the Sevenoaks page, Chambers UK 2026 and Chambers High Net Worth 2025 rankings, Legal 500 rankings (Family: Kent, Surrey, Sussex among others), and the Lexcel Practice Management Standard. On the live Sevenoaks contact page in May 2026, not one of those credentials is in the first viewport on mobile. They appear in the global footer that is identical on every page, alongside accreditation logos for the firm as a whole. The Sevenoaks visitor lands on a generic location card.

What the rebuild does about it

A hero credential row, deliberately quiet, that lists the three numbers a prospective Sevenoaks client cares about in one line: 4.8 / 701 on ReviewSolicitors Sevenoaks, Chambers and Legal 500 ranked, Lexcel accredited. Specific to the Sevenoaks office page, sourced and linked. The whole row sits above the H1 in the hero, not in a footer.

Finding 02

The Sevenoaks contact page reads as a duplicate of West Wickham and Bromley, not as the Kent practice.

What I saw on /contact/sevenoaks

Sevenoaks has three named partners physically on Pembroke Road: Stuart Ruff (Partner and Head of the Family Team, direct dial 01732 496 460), Nick Gabay (Partner in Corporate & Commercial, 01732 496 468), and Richard Ludlow (Partner in Restructuring & Insolvency, 01732 496 493). Each has a 01732 direct dial that routes locally to Sevenoaks. The contact page renders the firm-wide portrait grid (every partner across all four offices, in the same order, with no Sevenoaks-first sorting) before any Sevenoaks-specific text. A prospective Sevenoaks client cannot tell from the page who they would actually meet at Pembroke Road.

What the rebuild does about it

The Sevenoaks office page leads with the three Sevenoaks-based partners by name, photo, practice area and direct dial, before any firm-wide list. The enquiry form has a "which Sevenoaks partner" routing field built around the three direct dials. The firm-wide team page stays where it is, but Pembroke Road gets a Pembroke Road first paragraph.

Finding 03

No LocalBusiness or AggregateRating schema on the Sevenoaks page, despite 701 published reviews.

What I saw in the page source

The Sevenoaks contact page (and the Bromley, City and West Wickham equivalents) ships a single firm-wide Organization JSON-LD block. There is no LegalService schema per office, no PostalAddress for Pembroke Road in machine-readable form, no AggregateRating block referencing the 701 ReviewSolicitors entries, and no FAQPage markup on the contact page. Google's local results for "solicitor Sevenoaks" therefore have to infer the office from open hours and a map embed, while the public 4.8 / 701 figure is invisible to Search at the page level.

What the rebuild does about it

A LegalService JSON-LD block on the Sevenoaks page with the Pembroke Road PostalAddress, the 01732 phone in E.164, the Mon-Fri hours, the three Sevenoaks partners as employee entries, an AggregateRating block citing the 701 reviews, and a FAQPage block matching the visible FAQ. None of it visible to the eye, all of it readable by Google. The same block extends to the other three offices on the rebuild pattern.

What it costs
£2,000 Fixed for the rebuild. One-off, payable on launch.
£150 Per month for hosting and ongoing care. Cancel any time.
£50 Optional. Embedded chatbot trained on the Sevenoaks FAQs.

No retainer. No contract. No in-person visits, fully remote from Switzerland.

  • One round of revisions before launch.
  • DNS cutover handled (you keep the domain in the firm's name).
  • 30 days of post-launch tweaks at no extra cost.
  • Source code handed over on day 60 (the firm owns everything).

If the proposal lands, reply with two or three 20-minute slots in the next ten days for a video call. I take on three Kent and South East builds this quarter, and first confirmed wins the slot. If I do not hear back by 4 June 2026, the proposal site comes down.
